WATCH: What divides Berry Tramel and his twin brother? Alabama making the playoff
The Berry Tramel Show: My twin brother, Terry, joins me to debate Florida State/Alabama. Spoiler alert: Terry believes that committee chairman Boo Corrigan is well-named.
On the latest episode of The Berry Tramel Show, I’m joined by one of the most passionate college football fans I know, my twin brother, Terry. We grew up obsessed with college football, and while he now has a Ph.D. in religious studies, is a long-time evangelist and Bible professor, and can recite the Book of Revelations by heart, he has one vice. College football, and Terry is adamant that Florida State belonged in the playoff instead of Alabama.
(5:00) Seems logical: Three unbeatens, including Florida State, move on
(6:10) Alabama a respite from cookie-cutter selections
(10:26) Ironic that Boo Corrigan kept saying the committee doesn’t project
(11:38) “I was looking for Henry Fonda. It’s 12 Angry Men.”
(12:50ish): The playoff committee was given an impossible task … Sophie’s Choice
(15:59): 1-1 vs. Georgia & Texas trumps 0-0 vs. Georgia and Texas
(19:00ish): Leaving out Alabama would have sparked another Civil War
