Tommy Tubbs talks about the legacy and legend of BillyBall

He introduced Billy Ball to Norman and launched the modern era of Oklahoma men’s basketball from 1980-94. This Saturday, the Sooners will honor the life and legacy of the legendary coach Billy Tubbs when Kansas visits Lloyd Noble Center at 3 p.m. (ESPN+).

He introduced BillyBall to Norman and launched the modern era of Oklahoma men’s basketball from 1980-94. This Saturday, the Sooners will honor the life and legacy of the legendary coach Billy Tubbs when Kansas visits Lloyd Noble Center at 3 p.m. (ESPN+).

On the latest episode of the Lederman Jacket, Tommy Tubbs joined Eli Lederman and Todd Lisenbee for a conversation on the father and the coach who led OU to four Big Eight titles, nine NCAA Tournament appearances — including a national runner-up in 1988 — and a school-record 333 wins in 14 seasons with the Sooners.
