The transfer from Michigan will start the Cowboys' 6 p.m. game at Iowa State, according to a report from OSU play-by-play broadcaster Dave Hunziker.
AMES, Iowa — For the first time this season, Oklahoma State isn’t planning on rotating quarterbacks today against Iowa State, Sellout Crowd has confirmed.
Senior quarterback Alan Bowman will be starting against Iowa State and OSU won’t be rotating quarterbacks, Dave Hunziker reported Saturday on the Cowboy Radio Network’s pregame show.
In OSU’s first three games, Bowman, who transferred from Michigan, split snaps with freshman Garret Rangel and sophomore Gunnar Gundy.
On Monday, OSU coach Mike Gundy began his press conference addressing the quarterback situation.
“Quarterback-wise, we’re rotating, moving along as we have…trying to save as many questions as possible there,” Gundy said. “There’s not really anything to talk about that would make it different.”
Later in the press conference, Gundy was directly asked if he planned on rotating quarterbacks in Ames.
“Yeah, same thing I said when I started,” Gundy said. “I’m just trying to save y’all questions.”
Through three games, Bowman is 30-of-52 for 235 yards and one interception. Rangel is 17-of-29 for two touchdowns and one interception. Gunnar Gundy is 21-of-34 for 202 yards and one touchdown.
