OKLAHOMA CITY — The NBA is looking into an alleged inappropriate relationship between Thunder guard Josh Giddey and a minor, a league spokesman confirmed Friday.

The allegation stems from a post on X, the website formerly known as Twitter, that went viral on Thanksgiving.

The NBA is looking into the allegation, spokesman Tim Frank confirmed to Sellout Crowd. The league’s exploration is not expected to impact Giddey’s on-court availability at this point.

Giddey met with reporters after Friday’s Thunder practice and declined to answer questions about the viral tweet, which was posted in the early hours of Thursday morning and spread wide on X and Instagram.

“I get the question, guys, and I completely understand you guys want to know about it,” he said. “But just right now I don’t have anything to say.”

Thunder coach Mark Daigneault also declined comment.

“Personal matter, and I have no comment on it,” Daigneault said. “And that’ll be my answer on anything related.”

Giddey, a 21-year-old Australian, is in his third NBA season. He’s started all 15 games for the Thunder (11-4), averaging 12.3 points, 5.7 rebounds and 4.5 assists. He’s shooting 43.5% from the floor and 31% from 3-point range.
